Planting Seeds of Hope

When Capiuska and her husband Aaron were first introduced to 1MISSION, they knew us as an organization that built houses.

As they got involved in workshops and community gardens, however, something else clicked. They caught a vision for growing in their own capacities while strengthening bonds with neighbors.

They were still eager to receive the keys to their new house. But they had a new sense of purpose as well. Now they were running their own family business and passing on to others what they were learning.

Capiuska, known affectionately as Piipu, sat down with us for an interview about how catching the vision for community development has changed everything for her family.

We think you'll be encouraged by what she has to say!

P.S. By partnering with 1MISSION as a member of the Supply Yard, our monthly giving community, you're investing in stories of transformation. Your generosity makes it possible for more families like this to discover their own gifts and step up as agents of change right where they are.
