The Barragán Avendaño family has always lived in the state of Sonora. Daniel and Cristina have four children, all of whom are attending school. 2017, they began attending the Community and Human Development programs. Over time, Daniel became more involved with the construction process, and Cristina has enjoyed the pastry classes. Daniel works as a welder, and is supplying the doors and windows for the 1MISSION houses. Cristina is dedicated to her home, and this family is an example of love and unity for the community. The family currently lives in an adobe style house with a sheet metal roof. Their home provides little security or protection from the elements especially during the rainy season. A house from 1MISSION would give Daniel and Cristina a safe and decent home for their family. It would allow them to focus their limited resources on education and meeting the family’s needs, while giving them the hope of a more secure future.
