Originally from Copalillo, Guerrero in southern Mexico, Carlos and Leticia have lived in Puerto Peñasco for the past five years. They have been together for five years and have a four old son, Kevin Iseal. Carlos’ 14 year old brother, Jesus, lives with them as well and he is attending high school. Carlos and Leticia both work as vendors on the beach where they sell the jewelry that they have made themselves. Their income is inconsistent and dependent on the tourism season. They have started paying for a land lot in the community of Faisanes, but have not been able to afford to build a home on their own. A house from 1MISSION would give this hard working family a safe and decent place to live while allowing them to focus their limited resources on meeting their daily needs while working towards a secure future. UPDATE: The family is excited about the completion of their house!! And, their family has grown, Baby Samual arrived at the end of December!
