Though she was born in Guasave, Sinaloa, Lisvia has lived in Puerto Peñasco for the past 18 years. She is a single mother to 14 year old Roberta and Cesar who is 11. Both of the children are attending school. Lisvia is an athletics coach and also works part-time cleaning houses and selling school lunches. She also receives some support from the children’s father. The family has title to a land lot, but they are currently living with Lisvia’s mother as they are without the means to build a home on their own.
